Info: The Podenco Canario is an elegant dog of medium size (up to 64 cm), with an elongated, slender build. The strikingly large, pointed ears are typical. The coat is smooth, short and dense in all color variations.

Streetart. A beautiful mural with the face of a young woman was sprayed/painted on the outside wall of the flat building of a shopping center. The background is dark green, but the mural itself is in shades of orange and yellow. It shows a photorealistic portrait of a beautiful young woman, her curly hair blowing in the wind. Both the warm color scheme and the quality of the work are very impressive.

Streetart. The artist "Frankey" has created a fun installation on a metal bridge railing on the canal in Amsterdam. The black metal fence is decorated with small black balls on the railing. Between two of these balls, the artist has placed a self-designed, standing and large Goofy figure in a golfer's outfit. Goofy, the long Walt Disney dog with floppy ears, is swinging his golf club to hit one of the balls. This has been painted white and now really does look like a golf ball. Very funny and hopefully no one will steal it within 20 minutes.
Info: Frankey is Frank de Ruwe who
currently lives and works in Amsterdam. Where, if you look closely, you can discover his works in an unexpected places throughout the city. Frankey manages to give passers-by an instant smile from ear to ear time after time. "Pretty cool, right?", He says himself.

To escape the madness of the next few days (german election, election worker, wrong election winners, USA madness, Ukraine 🥺, TV duels, right-wing extremists, stupid social media comments, etc.), I'm avoiding all media for a few days and taking a vacation from the madness. The mural is a real eye-catcher and has almost become a Sheffield landmark.
Info: Pete McKee (born 1966) is an English cartoonist who tells short stories with minimalistically drawn figures and a colorful "pop art" aesthetic. The mural with the lovers from Sheffield was originally painted for an exhibition in 2013 and has suffered somewhat over the years. Reason enough to freshen it up in 2025 and give Joy a new hairstyle and a new coat.
