*Spaceman* isn't a **bad** movie, but when I sit down to watch a movie about an astronaut alone in space meeting a giant talking spider / alien, I kinda want the movie to be about that. This movie has those things, but it's not about them. Instead, this movie is about a lonely dude reflecting on his failing marriage. It's a long walk with a tense score to come around to "lonely dude realizes he'd rather be on Earth with his wife than several million miles away, alone (maybe?) and in space." The cast's performance was solid all around, but it's just not the movie I wanted it to be 🤷‍♂️
