Yes, that's what prompted me to read it. Though if anything, they toned down the family's madness in the TV show!

I didn't get past the first episode of White Lotus. Not interested in watching unpleasant people be nasty to each other!

I haven't finished watching Mary & George, or Interview with a Vampire either. I enjoy MM romance, not MM shagging with a hefty dose of violence.
I also love David Attenborough shows for the animals and his compassionand care for the planet. Some elements of that in Durrell's work too.
